CREATION: PASSAGE
was composed for the Festival of Sacred Art, with its first
performance at Orléans Cathedral.
CONTENT:
'Based around the philosophical, spiritual and personnal progress
of the 'sceptic' faced with the Biblical text, this musical
work puts forward subject matter of rare pertinence on the
contemporary perception of the 'sacred'. 'Passage' involves
the audience immediately in an enthralling universe which
applies as much to the secular as to the convinced spectator.'

SOME AUDIENCE
REACTIONS TO THE FIRST PERFORMANCE:
'You come out feeling a lot of
emotion, great peace. It's beautiful, very beautiful...'
'I'm writing to tell you how amazed
I was by what I experienced yesterday evening. The search
between God and man, man and God. I saw in it my own moments
of questioning, revolt, grace and openness. Singers, guitar,
piano, dance, your voice and the personality of the post-modern
man that you represent each took their own place without getting
in each other's way. That is for me a sign of the success
and the sincerity of your approach.'
'The show was fabulous and very thought-provoking.
To be honest I took five minutes to get out of my chair at
the end of the concert, I was so moved.'
'I still haven't come down to earth
since the Passage concert. There's really something about
it, I don't know what, which makes it extraordinary. This
show really has an enormous potential.'
A FRENCH DVD OF LIVE EXTRACTS can
be sent to potential concert organisers.
